Why choose Osteopathy?
Guided by osteopathic principles and theory, anatomy and physiology, we aim to get to the ROOT cause of the dysfunction. Our Osteopathic Manual Practitioners are very passionate about wellness and are dedicated to a lifelong journey of learning and mastering their practice. The ultimate goal is to be able to make a real difference in the health and vitality of every person we treat. Our approach to assessment and treatment is holistic, integrative, and effective.
What conditions can a Osteopathic Manual Practitioner Treat?
The symptoms that a patient experiences often occur because of a dysfunction somewhere else in the body. Thus, our Osteopathic Manual Practitioners will search for the cause of the dysfunction and aim to correct it. Sometimes, your Osteopath may be working on body parts far from the site of your symptoms. This allows for the body to naturally self heal and self correct as it reverses the underlying drivers of your pain. Patients typically experience improvements in acute pain, chronic pain, inflammation, stiffness, postural imbalances, mobility, healing time, immunity, sleep, anxiety and overall vitality.
Osteopathic treatment is gentle in nature which makes this approach well suited for all ages. Our Osteopaths can treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal pain conditions. Osteopaths can also address cranial-sacral regions and visceral (organ) connections and increase immunity and lymphatic flow.
What will a visit with an Osteopathic Practitioner look like?
You will receive one-on-one individualized care with your therapist. Your Osteopathic Manual Practitioner will spend time to get to understand your concern and how it is impacting your life. They will thoroughly assess your body and apply hands on manual treatment as indicated. The treatment techniques used by your Roots of Wellness OMP will help to clear up restrictions in the body which will improve communication of all the body systems and ultimately resolve your symptoms. Treatment is safe, gentle and often very relaxing, many clients fall asleep.
What is the difference between Osteopathy vs. Physio or Chiro?
Osteopathic philosophies consider the whole body (ligaments, tendons, fascia, muscle, bones, viscera, blood vessels, lymphatics and nerves) which includes some areas outside of the scope of traditional Physiotherapy or Chiropractic care.
Insurance and Direct Billing for Osteopathy
Osteopathic treatment is covered by most extended health insurance plans. Be sure to look into your coverage to see if this applies to you. Please note that Canada Life does not cover Manual Osteopathy. Currently Manual Osteopathy can not be direct billed to your provider.

I was dealing with occasional dizziness and wondered if glaucoma could be involved. The article at https://optyx.com/can-glaucoma-cause-dizziness-understanding-the-link/ explains that the visual system is a major input for balance, so peripheral vision loss from glaucoma can leave the brain with incomplete spatial cues. That may show up as dizziness or less confidence moving through daily life, even when the field loss is mild. Useful overview if you’ve linked eye health to balance issues.
Sometimes I look for interesting information, reviews, or expert commentary because someone drops a link in a group—they are genuinely engaging, but sometimes you read through an article and find such useful links neatly woven right inside the text. For example, I recently came across a great overview on platforms like https://www.politolog.net.ua/ and https://deribasovskaya.net/
This holistic healthcare, osteopathic medicine, and wellness practice feature from The Roots of Wellness (Why Choose Osteopathy) highlights the vital intersection of manual therapy, whole-body healing, and patient-centered care—themes that find great synergy with natural health guides, musculoskeletal care spotlights, and therapeutic wellness chronicles, published on https://34.ua. The post explores the core principles of osteopathy, emphasizing how gentle hands-on techniques address the root causes of pain, restore structural balance, and support the body's natural self-healing mechanisms.
This was an interesting and easy-to-follow explanation of plasma exchange and plasmapheresis. I especially https://ways2well.com/blog/plasma-exchange-vs-plasmapheresis-key-differences-explained appreciated the way the article explains what happens to the separated plasma in different procedures. The comparison makes it clear why the two terms overlap while still having a technical difference. The sections about autoimmune, neurological, and cholesterol-related conditions also provide useful context without making the subject unnecessarily complicated.
When researching casinos in Ontario, I think regional locations deserve just as much attention as the better-known destinations in larger cities. Peterborough is one of the communities that can be relevant for people looking for local gaming and entertainment options without planning a longer trip. Peterborough Casino is therefore a useful name to include in a broader Canadian casino comparison. I would consider several factors before choosing a venue, including the gaming environment, entertainment facilities, dining and how easy the location is to reach. For someone already in the Peterborough area, convenience can be more important than travelling to a casino with a more recognizable national profile. Comparing current information from several Ontario properties can also show which venues have the…
